SDCC : Outside Comic Con : you can still have fun at Comic Con, even without tickets


SDCC Outside Comic Con:

130,000 people have purchased tickets, or “badges,”  for SDCC Comic Con (access to the convention center); there is an estimated additional 100,000 outside comic con, in downtown san diego, the gas lamp district, at this time. every year more and more events take place outside the convention center, directly across the street, at the trolly stop area are tv & movie pavilions, across the walking bridge, every adjacent parking lot to the baseball stadium, petco park, has pavilions, displays & events; even petco park has more & more events inside. other daily & nightly events are held at downtown bars & conference spaces, near the convention center. some of these pay events are free and most require advanced reservations to secure a space. there’s tons of fun things to do Outside Comic Con, especially talking to cosplayers.
