Here is the best of list of scifi movies film on the year of 2017, in theaters and direct to streaming online, via netflix or pay per watch websites, like google play or amazon (or even itunes, hulu, etc). There are many “b-rated” science fiction movies that do not appear on this list of best sci-fi movie of the year. If you have any suggestions of movies that you loved, that came out this year, in movie theater cinemas or online, please let me know; I’m always up for watching more scifi. As always, there are several categories of movies: 1. Must Watch in the theaters 2. Will wait to pay per watch (google play, amazon pay, itunes, etc.) 3. Wait for netflix (or hulu or whatever) 4. Watch if there’s nothing else on (tv, netflix, etc); often it is up to you to decide what category this year’s movies fall into.
Hopefully there are a few scifi movies on this that you may not have seen in theaters or streaming online and you now have more to watch as this year ends and another year begins. Happy New Year!
